Self Catering Scottish Holiday Cottage, Newton Stewart, Dumfries & Galloway. A mid terraced traditional two storey cottage quietly located close to the River Cree with its own private, sheltered garden. Modernised during recent years, Ailsa Cottage is very convenient being within walking distance of the centre of Newton Stewart which provides a variety of hotels, cafes and shops. There is also a popular hotel with restaurant within a three minute walk of the cottage.

Situated on the east side of the river, excellent woodland and hill walking, plus walking and cycling on quiet country roads, is available almost on the doorstep.

Galloway Forest Park is located nearby and one of the stages of the 7Stanes mountain bike network is within a five minute drive of the cottage. Minnigaff has an excellent 18 hole golf course and other sporting facilities, including game, coarse and sea fishing, are all available nearby.
