Description
A very warm welcome awaits you at Allershaw House; a large contemporary house set among some of the most dramatic and stunning scenery in Scotland, yet only 4 miles from the M74.

Just a couple of miles from the Southern Upland Way and only an hour's drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Allershaw House was originally a small cottage housing the kennel man for the neighbouring hunting lodge.

Now, rather than kennels outside, the recently re-built Allershaw House is home to the Bidgiemire Herd of Rare Breed Pigs. This is run alongside the B&B by owners Linda and Graham.

Our delicious traditional Scottish breakfast is taken in the dining room overlooking the glens. We use only our own and locally sourced produce. As well as a cooked meal, we offer a wide selection of cereals, ham, cheeses, jams and fruit. If you prefer fish, then we can offer that as well.

Packed lunches are available for a small cost and we also offer walkers a complimentary pick-up within a radius of 6 miles of Allershaw House.

A two course evening meal is available at a cost of £15 per person.

Lanarkshire is often missed by people heading up north to the Highlands, but this area offers the visitor fantastic scenery, quiet roads even in Summer, historic villages including the highest village in Scotland and of course miles and miles of walking along the Southern Upland Way.

For Sportsman the area around 'Allershaw' has some of the finest grouse shooting to be found in Scotland.

Spending time at Allershaw whether it be a weekend or a one night stay is a great way to unwind. Enjoy a complementary cream tea whilst reading a good book from our extensive library, or take a gentle walk along the farm tracks to the nearby Daer Reservoir.

Whichever way you choose to relax, we aim to ensure that your stay with us is enjoyable and you leave us wanting to return.
