The County town of Ayr, in the heart of Burns Country is a modern, busy shopping centre, attracting many visitors throughout the year the town , the sea-front of Ayr and its leafy suburbs offer accommodation to suit all. The shopper visiting Ayr will find all the usual names in the High Street and Shopping Centres but it is worth seeking out the privately owned establishments.

Ayr, once a thriving fishing port it has along with all others seen a decline in the industry, but Ayr has managed to retain its reputation as a worthwhile visitor destination having a long sandy beach, world class links golf courses, many excellent hotels, b&b's, restaurants, bars and clubs.
