Borgue

church_200.jpgThe attractive little church of Kirkandrews was completed in 1906. It is one of several buildings constructed by James Brown of Knockbrex in a unique style, combining influences of the Arts and Crafts Movement, Celtic motifs and a fondness for miniature castles.

Kirkandrews Church is the best known of James Brown's buildings and the only one open to the public, although the tower of Corseyard Dairy is a local landmark on the B727 coast road. It is a Grade B Listed Building.

The church is owned by a charity, the Kirkandrews Kirk Trust, which exists to restore the church and to maintain it for the benefit of the local community.

Visitsouthernscotland.com is committed to giving only the most up to date and relevant information about our region.

We are currently looking for tourist and accommodation information about this village to be contributed by the community and look forward to displaying it in the near future.
