Description

The Village Shop was re-opened in March 2004 following a year-long closure and now stocks general groceries, Household, Fresh Fruit & Vegetables, Frozen Foods, Dairy Products, Newspapers, Tobacco & Ice Creams with a small Off-Licence to cater for most tastes.

STAG TEA ROOM A warm and friendly welcome awaits. Our informal Tea Room seats 10. We have a high chair for small children and one of our toilets has been adapted for the physically disabled. During the summer months, we have tables and chairs outside where you can watch the world go by under sun umbrellas. Our kitchen has been completely refurbished and our Chef daily prepares freshly made soup, pastries and a variety of home made sweets. We also serve hot and cold snacks including toast, teacakes, toasties, hot filled rolls and pies. If you're passing and don't have much time to stop, ring and order your meal and it will be ready to collect as you arrive ~ no waiting time!

TOURIST INFORMATION We have a range of information on local attractions and activities to suit all age groups such as local events, open gardens and houses, Summer fetes and shows, etc. Call in and check out this year's special events.

WHAT ELSE DO WE OFFER? We sell fishing tickets on behalf of the Dalry Angling Association for Carsphad and stock a small amount of fishing tackle. For an extra special gift, we have a range for all age groups:- Scottish Thistle linen, Tot glasses and decanters. Locally made soap and bath bombs. Sun Glasses, Ribbon work spec cases, make-up bags. Hand Blown Glass items. Tartan aprons, table covers and napkins, patchwork baby throws and cushions. Galloway Fudge ~ Always a favourite. Our latest and very popular lines are walking sticks and locally knitted jumpers, etc. We also have a selection of cards and wrapping paper. Hand made cards depicting local scenes. Purchases can be paid by credit or debit card with or without Cash Back - a fee of £1.00 is payable.
