Carsfad Loch (Trout Fishing)
Activities: Fishing, Trout Fishing

Description
The loch is approximately 2 miles from Dalry on the A713 towards Ayr, clearly signposted for parking. Carsfad Loch can only be fished from the West bank, which runs adjacent with the main road. The stretch of bank has many sheltered bays holding very good sized rainbow and brown trout which give an excellent account of themselves when hooked. Wading is not advised as sudden rises in water levels due to power station operations up stream, there is no fixed time for this so caution is advised. Permits and rulings can be obtained from Carsphairn village shop towards Ayr, or Newton's grocers in Dalry opposite The Clachan Inn.
