John and Lesley Wykes offer a very well appointed, detached, wooden lodge/cabin, nestling amongst trees in spectacular Galloway countryside. The cabin, which will comfortably accommodate 6 people, is 3 miles from Lochinvar and St. John's Town of Dalry and within easy reach of market towns and Solway Coast beaches. We provide an exceptionally generous welcome pack with wine, bread and basic requirements. Arrangements can be made for special occasions on request and Lesley is delighted to help plan surprises e.g. champagne on ice etc as required.

This is 4 star property, finished to a very high standard for your comfort. It has ramp access, a wooden veranda with wooden furniture as well as picnic bench and barbecue. Heating is by electricity and/ or the wood burning stove (all fuel provided) and double glazing for cozy winter breaks. There is carpeting throughout apart from the wooden floored kitchen, tiled bathroom and en suite shower room. This is a single cabin situated on the side of a picturesque valley, ideal for discovering Galloway and South West Scotland. This is a quiet location, with stunning views. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 double (1 with en-suite facilities) and 1 twin. The rooms have fitted mirrored wardrobes. Outdoors there is a swing. Bicycles, helmets, barbecue, travel cot and high chair are all available and included in the price. Boating and water skiing are available nearby on Loch Ken.

The area is ideal for "Dark Skies" stargazing, walking (we are on the Southern Upland Way), cycling, fishing, golfing, photography etc.
Accompanied wildlife walks into some of Galloway's wildest places are available with John, a professional wildlife manager. Animals are only acceptable if well trained & controlled and by arrangement.

Arrival day is purely on a "first come first served" basis as we as totally flexible and accept bookings upwards of 2 nights.
