Mossyard, home of the McConchie family for three generations, is a
working farm situated in a beautiful coastal location. The short drive
(800 yards) off the A75 Dumfries to Stranraer road, four miles of
Gatehouse of Fleet, opens up a whole new world.
Our cottages all
command magnificent views over Fleet Bay and the Murray Isles with the
beautiful backdrop of the Galloway Hills. The cottages are restored
farm workers" cottages, Threaby (CR05ST) being the most traditional and
built in stone around the end of the 19th Century and retaining all the
character and charm of that period. The identical 1960"s detached
cottages, Craignesket (CR05ST) and Edenville (CR04ST) have recently
been renovated to a very high standard and we ensured they have all the
comforts you need for a truly relaxing break.
As an alternative
why not try our quality Pinelog chalet. "The Buoys" (CR12ST)occupies a
prime headland location overlooking the white sandy beaches for which
Mossyard is well known.
Whether you are interested in outdoor
pursuits and activities or simply want to enjoy the peace and beauty of
the countryside, Mossyard and the surrounding area has someting for
everyone. We pride ourselves in maintaining high standards not only in
our properties but also in our personal approach, which we hope makes
our visitors" stay a very special and unforgettabe experience.
