Description Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate Set on the spectacular 80,000 acre Queensberry Estate complete with Country Park and Victorian Gardens, Drumlanrig Castle presents one of the finest examples of late 17th century Renaissance architecture in Scotland and an internationally renowned art collection. Beyond the castle are over 40 acres of enchanting gardens and a wide range of activities for all the family including walking, mountain biking, the adventure playground, wildlife watching, the Scottish Cycle Museum, Landrover tours, Ranger-led walks, monthly Farmers’ Markets, a varied events programme as well as locally sourced shopping and catering to complete your visit. OPENING TIMES 2010 GARDENS & COUNTRY ESTATE Friday 26th March – Sunday 24th October, daily 10am – 5pm The Country Estate, Visitor Centre, Gardens and Stable yard are open from 9am at weekends and during school and bank holidays. CASTLE Friday 26th March – Tuesday 31st August, daily 11am – 4pm During September and October, castle tours will be available at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Educational and private groups at other times by request.
