Dundrennan
Dundrennan is a village in Dumfries and Galloway, about five miles east of Kirkcudbright. Its population is around 230.
It is most notable for the ruins of Dundrennan Abbey, a 12th century Cistercian monastery. The MOD weapons testing establishment Dundrennan Range is also nearby. Since 2002 the Wickerman Music Festival, taking its name from the cult 70's film "The Wickerman" which was filmed in the area, has been held on the nearby farm of East Kirkcarswell.
