Dunragit
A village in The Rhins a low lying coastal area in the west of Dumfries and Galloway, Dunragit lies on the A 75 road, 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Stranraer. Once a thriving commercial centre with a large creamery at its heart, Dunragit's industries have all but disappeared.
In 1979 the 12-acre Glenwhan Garden and Nursery near Dunragit was created out of a bracken and gorse covered hillside. An excellent Kennels and Cattery originally set up as an RSPCA centre now thrives above the village.
Visitsouthernscotland.co.uk is committed to giving only the most up to date and relevant information about our region.
We are currently looking for tourist and accommodation information about Dunragit to be contributed by the community and look forward to displaying it in the near future.
