Fludha Guest House in Kirkcudbright is celebrating after becoming
the first property in Dumfries & Galloway to achieve the top five
star rating for serviced accommodation from VisitScotland.
Fludha Guest House is owned by Steve and Christine Laycock.
Speaking of their achievement they said; “Our five star award from
VisitScotland is the icing on the cake for us and the culmination of
over a year’s hard work renovating our guest house.
“We love giving visitors a warm welcome and take a great deal of
pride in making them feel more than comfortable in our home. When they
leave we don’t want them to think ‘that was alright’ we want them to
come back again with friends because their stay was really memorable.
Our five stars can help us achieve that goal.”
Steve and Christine purchased Fludha in August 2006, and after
extensive renovations they opened the doors to their first guest in May
of this year. The couple moved to Kirkcudbright from nearby Castle
Douglas where they previously ran a very successful 4 star Guest House. |
