Here at the Friars Carse Hotel we have 21 bedrooms all with spectacular views over our beautiful gardens leading down to the banks of the river Nith. We also have one room suitable for wheelchair users with adequate turning space in bedroom and bathroom, handrails and specially designed bath. All rooms at the Friars Carse Hotel are en-suite with bath and/or shower, complimentary toiletries, direct dial telephone, remote control colour TV with Freeview channels and radio, hairdryer and hospitality trays replenished daily.

The Whistle Restaurant, which takes its name from a Burns poem, serves excellent local cuisne and has extensive wine list. We also have a comfortable lounge and bar where you can enjoy a 'wee dram' and our friendly staff will look after you.

Activities at the Friars Carse Hotel include private sea trout, grayling and salmon fishing on our mile plus stretch of the River Nith for the exclusive use of guests, with tackle storage, drying room and freezing facilities. We also have a panelled snooker room, a 9 hole putting green, nearby shooting (by arrangement), cycling and mountain bike trails at nearby Drumlanrig Castle and Ae Forest (part of the 7stanes network) and a variety of golf courses to suit all abilities.

Friars Carse also offer three self-catering cottages which are two minutes walk from the hotel and all guests can make full use of the facilities at the hotel.

At Friars Carse Hotel, we also specialise in Meeting and Conference Packages , offering 3 types of packages to suit your individual needs . Our Weddings package is also highly popular due to our unique history and location.

Dogs are welcome at Friars Carse Hotel and our grounds are perfect for walking them although they are not permitted in the public rooms.
