Glenkiln Sculptures

Glenkiln, Shawhead in Dumfries and Galloway is the site of the 6 Glenkiln Sculptures by Henry Moore, Sir Jacob Epstein and Auguste Rodin situated in the beautiful glen, placed there by local landowner Sir William Keswick.

The Standing Figure by Henry Moore is positioned just north of the reservoir.

The Glenkiln Cross by Henry Moore is located half way along the west side of the reservoir. The cross is the central part of a crucifiction triptych which can be seen in its entirety in London’s Battersea Park.

Further down the road is Henry Moore’s King and Queen sculpture from which the other 2 sculptures, Visitation by Jacob Epstein and Two Piece Reclining Figure No1 by Henry Moore can be accessed.

The map shows the positions of the Glenkiln Sculptures at Shawhead.
