Self Catering Scottish Holiday Cottage in Isle of Whithorn, Dumfries & Galloway.

A delightful traditional village house, fully modernised and superbly situated, with an uninterrupted panoramic view across the bay to the harbour and out to sea. With cosy attractive accommodation, full of character, this is an ideal holiday cottage.

The village of Isle of Whithorn has a picturesque harbour with both pleasure and working craft and has two pubs/hotels both serving food. There is also a small Post Office and general store. Isle of Whithorn is situated on the Machars peninsula in open rolling countryside and right on the sea. The nearby town of Whithorn has a number of shops and a well known delicatessen plus a visitor centre charting the recent archaeological excavations and the history of the area as the seat of Christianity in Scotland. Within a short drive there is spectacular rocky coastline, interesting walks and several sandy beaches particularly at nearby Monreith with its 9 hole golf course overlooking the beach.
