Self Catering Scottish Holiday House in Kippford, Dumfries & Galloway. This outstanding detached traditional solid stone and slate self catering house in Kippford overlooking the Urr Estuary offers guests a unique home from home experience. The mature garden, which extends to about half an acre, is beautifully maintained including 2 lawns, a large variety of shrubs, rhododendrons, azaleas, flowerbeds and trees. The steep hillside rockery behind gives perfect privacy and shelter with National Trust for Scotland land to the rear.

Ilala is located on the high side of the Jubilee Path, a quiet private road leading to land owned by the National Trust for Scotland (a short coastal walk to Rockcliffe). To the front of the property the conservatory, lounge and dining room bay windows have marvellous views across the water to the yacht harbour and the hills and woods beyond - sunsets are breathtaking.

You are just a short walk to the pubs, yacht moorings and other amenities of the village, and a short drive to the beaches of Sandyhills or the 7Stanes Mountain Bike sites of Dalbeattie and Mabie Forest. Also nearby are the shops, galleries, museums and other attractions of Dumfries, Castle Douglas and the Artists" Town of Kirkcudbright.

The house is furnished and equipped to a high standard and in addition offers a large selection of fiction and non-fiction reading material including several books of local interest. Games, CDs and an extensive DVD and Video Library are also provided.
