Property Description

Set in the historic medieval capital of Dumfries and Galloway, The Old Coach House is the perfect base for your holiday. Whether you plan a short break, week or fortnight you will love exploring the stunning Dumfries and Galloway countryside and coastline from our refurbished and fully equipped holiday home.

Directly across the road from The Old Coach House sits the Dumfries Museum and famous Camera Obscura, one of only three in the UK. Gracefield Arts Centre is a must for the culture vultures not to mention a visit to the Burns Heritage Centre and cinema situated only two minutes away on the banks of the Nith.

The Old Coach House offers the following:

Front Court Yard
The entrance to the Old Coach House is through our charming front court yard. One of the unique features of the Old Coach House is the fact that we have our own private well.

Directly in front of you is our bath/shower room with w.c. and wash hand basin. Soak in the sunken bath or treat yourself to an invigorating hot shower. Full vanity facilities are available if you want to pamper yourself before a night out on the town!

Open plan Dining Room
Enjoy your evening meal in the Old Coach House dining room. In the summer, throw open the patio doors and soak up the ‘Mediterranean’ atmosphere of our lush garden patio. The dining table seats eight and the fully equipped kitchen means the chef can socialise with the whole group over a glass or two of wine.

Split level oven grill, hob and microwave all help for food preparation and when you’re through, the dishwasher will make short work of the washing up.

Study/ Internet area
Check out all the Dumfries and Galloway attractions on line in the study, or catch up with the post card writing.
