Kelso
Kelso lies in a fine setting at the junction of the rivers Tweed and Teviot.
A frequent winner of National Floral Awards, Kelso is full of architectural and historical interest that can be explored by following the Kelso Town Trail.
The graceful five-arched bridge over the Tweed dates from 1803 was built by John Rennie and was the model for Waterloo Bridge.
There is a considerable programme of events in Kelso including The Border Union Agricultural Show, ram and horse sales, steeple chasing at the Race Course, point-to-point races and Kelso Civic Week in July.
