A former
Coaching Inn, the King's has been offering food and refreshments to weary
travellers and guests for over 200 years.
Recognised
by both the A.A, STB ** and R.A.C, the rooms are attractively furnished, en
suite with colour TV, Tea and Coffee makers, Radio Alarms and Telephone.
Guests
and locals may dine in our "Courtyard Restaurant" which has built a
fine reputation for its extensive and imaginative menu of mouth watering
dishes. The A La Carte menu offers the finest Galloway steaks, Solway Salmon,
Scallops etc. To compliment we have a varied wine list to satisfy most tastes.
We offer flexible dining times to suit any ‘late arrivals’ coming in off the
trails.
We will
start you off in the morning (early, if need be) with a hearty
"King's" Breakfast and, if pre-ordered, a packed lunch, then welcome
you back in the evening for a pint or two in the Snug Bar.
Whilst you are enjoying our hospitality your bike will safely locked
away in our secure bike store, your gear can either be being laundered or stored
safely in our drying room and your car will be in our private off-road car park.
The King's Arms is also the
ideal location from which to base the perfect Golfing Holiday.
There are
no less than 30 courses across the region including 2 championship links courses. There are some excellent Parkland
courses plus a variety of of testing 9 hole courses for the higher handicapper
or beginner.
