Kirkcudbright
Established as a Royal Burgh in 1455, Kirkcudbright has always been supported by a busy fishing trade.
Behind the harbour the streets of Kirkcudbright have housed generations of creative artists, a tradition maintained today by a flourishing colony of painters and craftworkers. This has led to Kirkcudbright being called "The Artists' Town".
Other well known features of Kirkcudbright are the pastel coloured houses and wide streets. In Kirkcudbright there is a wide selection of mainly family owned shops where almost everything can be found, and parking is free all over town.
Visitsouthernscotland.com is committed to giving only the most up to date and relevant information about our region.
We are currently looking for tourist and accommodation information about Kirkcudbright to be contributed by the community and look forward to displaying it in the near future.
