), forming part of the listed former stables of Knockbrex House,
provide a wonderful base for a holiday in arguably the prettiest part
of the region.
Recently modernised and upgraded, both houses are
completely self contained but there is a communicating door between the
two to allow the houses to be occupied by a single large party.
There
are lovely walks along the shore from the property and a short drive
gives access to spectacular coastal and hill scenery. This is excellent
walking and cycling country and there is an abundance of facilities for
the sportsman including fishing and sailing. Carrick shore is ideal for
swimming, sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. There are a number of golf
courses all within a short drive and the small towns of Kirkcudbright
and Gatehouse of Fleet, approximately 10 minutes by car, have some
excellent hotels and restaurants plus well stocked shops.
