What makes a good bed and breakfast? At Linthorpe B&B, we think the clue is in the title;
a good nights sleep and a good breakfast. We have an on going programme
of improvements which include new beds, handmade Organic cotton
bedlinen, super hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows in a quiet cool
environment. You will be encouraged to chill out and repair your soul and we can arrange spa
treatments for you and encourage the use of natural therapies to help
you unwind.
Our ensuite bedroom is large and airy with a proper full sized
bathroom with shower cubicle, bath and twin sinks, not just a corner
cut off the bedroom, you won't have to sidle round doors and furniture!
Our other two bedrooms share another full sized bathroom and again are
large airy comfortable rooms.
At Linthorpe B&B our aim is to make you feel at home, but without the daily chores,
if you feel like a visitor we are not doing our job properly, we are
people with a conscience, we try to recycle wherever possible, we use
ecological products wherever possible. We have an extensive music
collection which you are welcome to listen to and have an excellent and
varied library of both textile books and fishing books as well as
paperback novels which you can swap for your own read ones.
There is a beautiful large lounge which has fantastic views over the
Galloway hills, the patio doors open onto the beautiful private rear
garden with ponds and lawns. The wood burning stove is lit on chilly
evenings for a cosy homely feel and there is Sky television available
should you want to stay in. Guests can take part in one of our courses
or just read or play board games or perhaps try to finish one of our
huge jigsaws! Evening meals are served here which are home cooked
sourcing local and organic food wherever possible.
Sue, your hostess, is a fully qualified, licensed and insured Advanced Fly Fishing
