Loch Roan (Trout Fishing)
Activities: Fishing, Trout Fishing

Description
This loch is just off the A713 Castle Douglas to Ayr road, as you go through Crossmichael turn right just before the church and follow the road for approximately 4 miles, turn onto farm track and into the field. Loch Roan is set in a lovely secluded area and is very well maintained, it is a clear water loch as it is the water supply for Castle Douglas. The fishing association stocks the loch regularly with good sizes of brown and rainbow trout which are in very good condition.
