Lochinvar Lodge is a beautifully restored farmhouse idycally situated on the banks of its own loch. The views from the house are magnificant and there is an abundance of wild life on the doorstep. The accomodation is finished to a very high standard with ensuite bathrooms, steam room, TV's and MP3 speakers in bedrooms. There are three bedrooms; master bedroom ensuite and two twin bedrooms with jack & Jill bathroom.

Outside there is a lovely decking area with magnificant views over the loch. The decking can be accessed from the kitchen and the lounge. There are steps up from the decking which lead to a small sun stap with additional seating and BBQ. The property has its own entrance gate which leads into the back driveway with amply parking for 2/3 cars.

Lochinvar Lodge is finished to a high standard with american style fridge freezer, electric range cooker, wine cooler and microwave in the kitchen. Digital televisions in the family room and bedrooms and MP3 speakers in each of the bedrooms. There is also a steam room down stairs. Those with a concern for the environment may be interested to know that the property gets its energy from a ground source heat pump.

Centrally located for the 7 stanes mountain bike trails and on National Route 7 cycling byway,
Lochinvar Lodge is ideal for cyclists as well as walkers, fishing enthusiasts and families. The Galloway Activity Centre and Loch Ken Water Ski School are only a few miles away on the banks of Loch Ken. The holiday property is situated on an unclassified road in a quiet and very peaceful rural situation just 3 miles from St John's Town of Dalry. The pretty village has a charming main street of mainly painted harled houses and a range of convenience stores, a post offfice, bank (restricted opening times), a pub and a hotel.

The area is rich in wild life. The loch attracts Swans, Grey Lag Geese, Grey Herons and is home to two Great Crested Grebes. We also have a local Barn Owl that frequents our garden. There are Eagles, Buzzards, Red Squirrels, Red Dear and even Stoats. The ‘Galloway Red Kite Trail’ around Lock Ken is only a few miles away.

Lochinvar Lodge can also be booked with our other property Lochinvar Cottage for larger groups and families of up to 13.
