Moffat
Moffat is situated in South West Scotland just off Junction 15 on the M74.
A former winner of Scotland and Britain “in bloom”, the town is proud of its floral displays in Station Park, the High Street and throughout the town
Moffat is principally a tourist town and offers a wide variety of activities for everybody. The Moffatasia water feature (allegedly the only one in Scotland), in addition to putting and boating in Station Park can be enjoyed by all age groups and other outdoor activities offered locally include: bowling, tennis, golf, fishing, cycling and walking.
Moffat has a good selection of shops offering a wide variety of products. The town additionally boasts a number of fine hotels and B&Bs, as well as a range of restaurants and cafés to suit all tastes.
In the nineteenth century, Moffat was a Spa town and this tradition has been rekindled recently with the re-opening of the Moffat Well. The focal point of the town centre is the world famous Moffat Ram which sits on top of the Colvin Fountain.
