Description

This loch is off the A762 approximately 4 miles south of New Galloway, just outside Mossdale, heading for the A75. Mossdale Loch is set in the beautiful Galloway countryside with open field on one side of the loch and tree cover on the other. The loch is stocked regularly with varying sizes of brown and rainbow trout which are very sporting when hooked, along the west side of the loch there are a few sheltered areas if the weather turns a little breezy. Permits and oars are obtained from Mossdale shop which is just a few hundred yards up the road.
