Old Dairy Cottage is situated in rural surroundings with wonderful panoramic views down
towards Luce Bay and the Galloway Hills beyond, this is a traditional
Galloway cottage which has been extended, equipped and furnished to a
very high standard.
Located in rolling countryside in arguably the
most unspoilt part of the region, the cottage has been upgraded and
extended by the owners to provide very high quality self catering
accommodation. The nearby village of Drummore provides local shopping
facilities and two hotels. Within a short drive is the Mull of Galloway
with its lighthouse and visitor centre and also close by is the village
of Port Logan which featured in the recent television series 2000 Acres
of Sky. The quiet roads surrounding the cottage are ideal for walking
and cycling. Close to the shore, there are plenty of facilities for sea
angling and there is a wide variety of wild life including the
spectacular gannets which can be seen feeding offshore. The area has a
number of interesting towns and villages and the ferryports of
Stranraer and Cairnryan give direct access to Northern Ireland for a
day out with a difference.
