Loch Ken offers excellent coarse fishing and facilities for sailing and boating (at Galloway Sailing Centre and Loch Ken Marina) . The Galloway Forest Park,with extensive walking and cycle trails, and the beautiful and varied Solway Coast, are a short drive away.
There are a tearoom, shops and pubs a short walk from the house plus a challenging Golf Course at the other end of the town.
