which has been completely refurbished and extended to provide superb
well equipped accommodation. It is located in the heart of the village
which has two hotels and a village store plus the historic Sweetheart
Abbey and Cornmill.
On the edge of the village is the Shambellie
House Costume Museum and within a short drive is Mabie Forest and Farm
Park providing entertainment for all the family and adjacent to one of
the stages of the 7Stanes mountain bike network.
The town of Dumfries
is within a 15min drive and, in the other direction along the Solway
Coast, are the wonderful sandy beaches at Sandyhills and Rockcliffe
plus numerous golf courses including the championship links course at
Southerness.
Recently rebuilt and refurbished by the owners, this is
a delightful and cosy cottage with everything one could want for a
comfortable holiday.
