The main attraction at Sandhead is the beautiful sandy beach, which stretches for more than a mile.

The sea at Sandhead is very safe for bathing – however, depending on the tide, you may have quite a walk out for a swim.

There are three Caravan parks adjacent to Sandhead, which bring many visitors to the area – Clayshant, Sandhead and Sands of Luce – and a small hotel – the “Tigh-na-Mara” . You will also find a well-stocked village shop, a bowling green and a Church of Scotland.
