Skirling
 Skirling is well placed. Just far enough off the beaten track to enjoy total seclusion, yet near enough to other pretty villages, bustling towns and of course the main centres of Edinburgh and Glasgow, both of which can be reached in around 45 minutes br car or bus.
Skirling is on the A72, approximately 2 miles north east of Biggar.
Nearby attractions include the next village, Biggar, with award winning museums, Victorian Puppet Theatre and amazing Hogmanay bonfire celebration; Dawyck Botanic Gardens, the World Heritage Site of New Lanark and Peebles; the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh and Glasgow with their myriad historic sites and shopping opportunities. |
