The Mount, a fabulous semi-detached granite holiday home occupies the most wonderful position, just above Sandyhills beach in a stunning corner of Dumfries and Galloway. The Mount offers ideal accommodation for families, cyclists, walkers and golfers.

The area is renowned for its beautiful forest walks, beaches, cliff-top paths, excellent birdwatching, superb golf courses (five minutes away is the championship course of Southerness), as well as world class mountain biking facilities (7 Stanes).

The house itself offers spacious accommodation, sleeping up to eight people in four bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin rooms) On the ground floor there is a well equipped kitchen, (with Aga, electric cooker and dishwasher), dining room, sitting room (both with open fires), utility room and shower room with WC . A luxury bathroom is on the mezzanine floor. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and a study. A further two bedrooms and bathroom complete the top floor.

The house has oil central heating as well as under floor heating in the bathrooms. For cyclists, cleaning and lock-up facilities are available.

Off -road parking is available within the grounds of the house.

There is a spacious garden to the rear with a sheltered lawn offering space and privacy to relax and enjoy views of the oak woods behind the house.

There is a great variety of bird and butterfly life and red squirrels have been known to pay a visit. There are usually swallows in residence during the summer.
