Directly across the road from The Old Coach House sits
the Dumfries Museum and famous Camera Obscura, one of only three in the UK. Gracefield
Arts Centre is a must for the culture vultures not to mention a visit to the Burns
Heritage Centre and cinema situated only two minutes away on the banks of the
Nith.

Front Court Yard
The entrance to the Old Coach House is through our charming front court yard.
One of the unique features of the Old Coach House is the fact that we have our
own private well.
Bathroom
Directly in front of you is our bath/shower room with w.c. and wash hand basin.
Soak in the sunken bath or treat yourself to an invigorating hot shower. Full
vanity facilities are available if you want to pamper yourself before a night
out on the town!
Open plan Dining Room
Enjoy your evening meal in the Old Coach House dining room. In the summer,
throw open the patio doors and soak up the ‘Mediterranean’ atmosphere of our
lush garden patio. The dining table seats eight and the fully equipped kitchen
means the chef can socialise with the whole group over a glass or two of wine.
Kitchen
Split level oven grill, hob and microwave all help for food preparation and
when you’re through, the dishwasher will make short work of the washing up.
Study/ Internet area
Check out all the Dumfries and Galloway attractions on line in the study, or
catch up with the post card writing.
Bedroom 1
Just off the study is the down stairs bedroom, twin or Double, cosy
mattresses and clean fresh duvets and pillows will give you the perfect night’s
sleep for tomorrows’ big adventures
Bedroom 2
Upstairs you will find our en suite facility, again either twin or double this
light and airy upstairs room has views to the west across Dumfries to the
slopes of Criffel, and Mabie forest. Again cosy mattresses, clean linen and
duvets will keep you snug on even the coldest winter’s night.
Bedroom 3
This is the largest bedroom with twin double and wardrobe facilities fitted
with cosy mattresses, clean linen and duvets.
Living Room
Here’s where you relax and unwind with your favourite tipple, the flick of a
switch will bring the living flame gas fire to light. Sit down enjoy the views
through the beautiful bay window of the Museum, and Criffel. Select a film from
sky movies and relax and enjoy our wide screen TV. Or just sit round the fire
and chill out.
Dumfries offers first
class leisure facilities including the brand new £17m leisure pool/fitness
centre; the recently built ice bowl; tennis; golf and cycle routes along the
banks of the river Nith. In the immediate vicinity Mabie forest and Mabie farm
park provide the ultimate fun filled family day out or the perfect location to
walk in the forest filling your lungs with clean fresh pine scented air and
your senses with the sound of bird song and forest streams. Alternatively take
the Galloway coastal road and discover the delights of charming villages such
as New Abbey, Kippford and the world renowned artist town of Kirkcudbright
