Description
Threave Wildfowl Reserve is part of the National Trust for Scotland and is situated near Castle Douglas, off the A75, 1 mile west of Castle Douglas. Visitors can see otters, barn owl and kingfisher all year round and in the winter they can see Greenland white fronted geese, pink footed geese, whooper swans and wigeon. Paths around the area provide good wildlife viewing all year.
