Situated between St Mary's Loch and Loch of the Lowes, the Tibbie Shiels Inn takes its name from Isabella (Tibbie) Shiel, the original proprietrix.

The Tibbie Shiels Inn has been extended over the years and so have the activities associated with it. Fishing is popular still and ramblers are growing in number. Sailing and windsurfing also take place on the lochs.

Throughout its changes though the spirit remains unchanged - low ceilinged, cosy, full of character, hidden away in a place of incredible beauty and tranquility, a haven 'just like a bit wren's nest'!

The Tibbie Shiels Inn has 5 en-suite rooms. All rooms have full central heating and tea/coffee making facilities and the residents lounge has a TV.

Spend the evening relaxing in our conservatory watching the sun set over the loch. A perfect way to finish off your day.

Booking is recommended for all rooms especially in the summer months.

Free loch fishing is available for residents in St Mary's Loch and Loch of Lowes, contact us for more information. Licences for the surrounding area i.e. Megget Reservoir can be purchased from the Inn. Camping is also available for small tents only. Vehicle backup services are available by prior notice at a rate of £1.00 per mile.

With the Southern Upland Way passing the door, ramblers continue to enjoy the lochs and hills and fishermen, sailors and windsurfers test the lochs. Yet along with the name and in spite of the busy summer season, the spirit of the place is unchanged.
